Notice is, hereby given that sealed bids
for the construction of cement sidewalks
and crossings to be ordered built, by the
city of Grand Forks, North Dakota, dur
ing the year ending April 1. 191(, will be
received by the- undersigned up to 4
o'clock p. m., Monday. May 3, 1916, and
wlll be opened and considered by the city
council of said city at Its regular month
ly meeting to be held at 8 o'clock on said
day. Said bids shall be for the construc
tion of all- sidewalks and crossings ord
ered, built by the city of Grand Forks,
and said proposals shall be securely
sealed and marked "Bids for Sidewalk
Construction," and said bids must be for
the building of all sidewalks and cross
ings in accordance with the ordinance*
and charter of said city governing side
walks and crossings, and must be built
under the supervision of and subject to
the approval of the city engineer of said
city.
Each bid must be accompanied by a
certified check made payable to the May
or of said city in the sum of $50.00, ss a
guarantee that the succesaful bidder will
enter into contract and furnish a bond
as required by Ordinance No. 279 Of said
city as well as the regular bond re
quired.
The suressful bidder will be paid for
his work by sidewalk improvement war
rants, which shall bear interest at tho
rate of 6 per cent per annum, and qhall
be made out upon estimates furnished "by
the city engineer of said city and approv
ed by the city council of said city for tha
work done and approved and accepted by
the city engineer. Bidding blanks
be furnished by the city engineer.
The city council reserves the right to
reject any or all bids.
