Max Tein. the genial salesman at Coddon's, evidently believes in the future of Perkins county land, for he says he bought a farm last week. Father Frei will go to New Krassna, 7 miles north of Lem mon, Friday to conduct the fu neral of the 4 month old daugh* ter of Mr. and Mr. Jos. Erker. Mrs. G. E. Howell man, was calling on his customers here Wednes day. Nick Reis returned to Petrel on No. 17 Monday after attend ing to some busioees matters here. C. M. Olson, representative of Jenney, Semple Hill, of Minne apolis, was calling on Lemmon trade Wednesday. Miss Bertha VanValkenberg returned to her home in this city Sunday after a short visit with friends at Morristown. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Herron returned to their home near Faith on last Saturdav, after being in Lemmon for some time. Miss Gilbert, who teaches school near Thunder Hawk, ar rived on No. 17 Sunday to visit her sister. Mffe. Leigh, who is seriously ill. Mrs. I. T. Hermanson .and children are visiting at Shako pee. Minn., being called there by the death of a sister of Mrs. Hermanson's. Mrs. Oscar Sampson and child left the latter part of last week for Webb, Sask., Canada, being called there by the serious ill ness of a brother. Attorney A. E. Ira Owens, who has a fine ranch in the Daviston neighbor hood, was a Lemmon visitor the latter part of last weeic. He was on his way home from a va a i o n i o A e e e n a n Minneapolis. The Lemmon High School and the Mott High School basket ball teams will-play on Friday evening at the Armory Hall in this city. This will be a very interesting game as these teams have metlonce before this sea son in a hotly contested game ending in a score of 30 to 5 in favor of the Mott team. Mrs. Chester Leigh is critically ill at her heme in this city He returned from Aberdeen a short time ago where she had been for an operation, and is now thought to be suffering from dropsy. Mrs. James Monahan return ed to her home at Roundup, »nt,, Saturday night, being called here by the illness and death of her mother, Mrs, Green. Little Cecil Glenn accompanied her. Martin Ellefson arrived from Montana the latter part of last week, making a brief stay here and then continuing his journey on to Augusta, Wis., to join Mrs, Ellefson, who is visiting relatives there. Oscar Helvig, of Meadow, was in the city Friday on his return from Livingston, Mont., where he had been to see his brother, Noble, who underwent an opera tion at a hospital in that city recently. Word comes from Fred Schild who is at LaCrosse with his wife who recently underwent an oper ation in a hospital in that city, that the operation was success ful and that they will return home about February 15th.
