The Ladies' Aid of the Ebenezer church will meet at the home of John Blomquist on Wednesday af ternoon. The west district of the Ladies Mission society of the Tripolis church will be entertained by Mrs. Charles Nelson on Thursdav after noon, Nov. 10, and the south dis trict will be entertained by Mrs. John Freed on Friday afternoon, Nov. 11. Nov. 6.— There will be services in the Swed ish church basement next Sunday evening at 8 o'clock by Rev. Johan son. Next Friday afternoon and even ing the Hauge congregation of Spi cer are planning to give a supper in the church basement. Chicken, lutefisk, lefse Hardangerkaga and other refreshments will be served. Gome and have your supper. Will begin to serve at 3 o'clock. A. J. Thorvig went to the Cities last Monday and expects to stay this winter if he likes it. Charlie Knutson left last Sunday for Conde, S. D., he will work on the dredge this winter. Mrs. Charlie Nordgren will en tertain the Ladies' Aid of the Nor wegian Free church next Friday af ternoon and evening. All welcome. Mr. and Mrs. John Thorvig Rev. and Mrs. Johanson and K. Kloster returned from the meeting in Daw son last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Kloster will visit with Rev. and Mrs. Boe, of S. D., before returning. Mrs. Estvick and Miss Adella Larson, from Long Lake, also at tended the meeting and will visit friends and relatives before com ing back. Iver Graven spent Sunday at John Thorvig's. Mrs. Gena Joacobson was a Will mar caller a couple of days last week., Mr. and Mrs. O. Larson, of the Interlachen, and Albert Winblad left last Saturday on a hunting tour. They will try their luck at Markie, Minn. Mrs. Wm. Peterson visited rela tives in Willmar last week. Miss Alma Swenson visited with friends and relatives in Willmar over Sunday. Rebecka Olson. Esther Holt, Em am Borreen, Hazel Monson and Ar thur Kloster who are attending school in Willmar, spent a few days the latter part of last week, as the teachers were in St. Paul attending the M. E. A. Mrs. J. Ahlstrom and two sons, Johnny and Alvin, wefit on a trip last week first to Milaca with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Westerberg, and then to Duluth for a visit with an other sister-in-law, Mrs. Aune. They expect to stay away for about two weeks. Mrs. Johanna Nelson was in Will mar between trains last Friday. Miss Agnes Kulset Sundayed with her mother west of New London. Miss Hattie Smith went to Min neapolis last Friday to attend her cousin's wedding which was to be on Saturday afternoon. Victor Norsten left for Seattle, Washington, last Monday to stay for the winter. Miss Cornelia Jacobson, who went to Thief River Falls, came back last Saturday, accompanied by her sister Allida, who has improved very much. Her friends are all glad to see her back again as it is some years since she visited her home county. Miss Jennie Mardin and her brother, Bert, who spent a couple of weeks with their brother Louis, who is manager of a large lumber yard in Dakota, returned last week. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Quam Sun dayed at Mrs. Theodore Thomp son's. Mrs. J. A. Jacobs, of Willmar, is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nelson and also Mr. and Mrs. F. Harris this week. Mrs. John Larson and little daughter Alfie, from Minneapolis, are visiting with the formers' sister and brother, Mrs. J. Thorvig and Iver Peterson, this week. Mrs. Tom Downs, of Willmar, v»ho had been visiting with Mrs. T. Nelson the past week, returned home last Friday. Jim Hart was taken suddenly sick last Sunday morning with an attack of paralysis and heart trouble. John Monson and family from Ringo Lake Sundayed at August Mollers near Twin Lakes. The members of the Swedish Lutheran church are have their Harvest Wednesday evening, big supper will be mencing at five o'clock. Kandiyohi, Nov. 8—Gilbert Ga brielson attended to some business matters in Willmar on Saturday. Mrs. Olavus Anderson was in Wisconsin week before last. J. E. Freeberg, from North Da kota, called on old friends in Kan diyohi, last week. Mrs. Jonas Enblom is spending several days visiting with friends in town of Mamre. 0. Knutson is building an addi tion to his house. Services were held at John An derson's and at Peter Norman's last week by Rev. Hultgren of Atwater. Peter Erickson and son Peter were in Spicer one day last week to see a doctor in regard tothelatter's health. He was sick last summer with an attack of infantile paraly sis which left him a cripple, his left hand and arm being paralized. Harry Anderson made a business trip to A water last Wednesday. Chas. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bengtson entertained a number of their rel atives last Sunday. John Anderson and family spent Sunday visiting at C. J. Berg's in Gennessee. Amusing games were played and a guessing contest made lots of fun. Yellow was the pre vailing color in the decorations and the menu cards were hand painted in yellow and green.
