MRS. PETER LOFGREN. Mrs. Peter Lofgren died at her home in Lake Lillian Thursday evening, Mav 18th, after a short illness at the age of 58 years. Mrs. Lofgren was a native of Sweden, but had lived at the farm home at Lake Lillian over thirty years. She had many friends who will sincerely mourn her' death and sympathize with her bereaved family. Mrs. Lofgren is survived by her husband, and seven children: Three sons in Canada two daughters. Mrs. Renstrom of St. Paul and Selma at home one son Albert, at home, and one Peter, living near Lake Elizabeth. Rev. Peterson, pastor of the Lake Lillian Swedish Lutheran church, conducted funeral services at that church on Tuesday afternoon and the body was laid in its last restinng place in the adjoining cemetery. CHARLES ALBERT HEDLUND. Charles Albert Hedlund of Lake Elizabeth died on Thursday, May 11th. after a week's illness. Mr. Hedlund was 33 years of age and leaves a wife and four children. Rev. G. A. Schoberg conducted funeral services at the Swedish Lutheran church in Atwater on Sun day May 14th, and the body was taken to Cokato and placed in the family burial lot. HORATIO P. GEER. Horatio P. Geer, an old pioneer settler of Burbank died at Seattle. Wash., Mav 7th at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 23 days. Death was due to cancer and came as a relief after a period of illness lasting since Jan. 15th. Horatio P. Geer was born in Blaomfield, Crawford Pennsylvania Dec. 14 1833. He came to Minnesota in 1864 and pre empted a claim in Burbank the same year. He moved with his family the following spring to their new home. In 1888 he moved to Crow Lake, Stearns County, and lived there until 1903, when he moved to Washington to find a climate with warmer winters. But he always loved Minnesota and came back to look after his farm interests and spent the summers with his son C. A. Geer of Colfax until 1910, when his health began to fail. His late years have been spent with his Bible, which he loved to read and to which he was devoted. To him it was the book of books and he had always studied it diligently. Melvin Andrews was the son of the late J. Q. Andrews, a former resident of Burbank, and the news of his death will be learned with regret by many old-time friends.
