The universal system, by means of which calls at the central exchange are signaled by small electric lights, is being installed. MINNIE JOERGENS. & Last Thursday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Mimiie Joergens at her home in this city. For a number "of years the deceased had been ailing with tuberculosis, which alsC was the cause of her death. Mrs. Joergens was born in the, province of Hanotrer, Germany, about ,-71 years ago. Sha is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Lena Hagedorn, Court land Henrietta, St. Paul Mary, Minne apolis Sophie, Huron, S.D., and William, who is employed on the C. & N. W railroad. She is also survived by one brother, Louis Buenger of this city. Mrs. Emma Bode,, nee ^Fiehe, died at one of the local hospitals otf Tjtfecinesday in the morning at 10:15 after .arshort illness, following an operation for "ap pendicitis. Mrs. Bode was born at Addison, 111., August 5, 1853,.and was therefore 66 years old at the time of her death^jWhen she was about 15 years old her parents moved to Minnesota where they settled on a farm in Nicollet county. She lived in that county until last winter when she made her home with her son, F. L. Bode, and family at Fairmont. Mrs. Bode was married in, 1871 to August Bode, who preceded her in death in 1890. Their union was blessed with eight children, four of whom are still living, as follows: William and August, Yellow Medicine county F. L. Bode, Fairmont, and John, who lives on the" old homestead in Nicollet county The deceased is also survived by 28 grarid children an(Lthe following brothers and sistersr H. C. Fiene, Musselshell, Mont. Fred. Fiene, Madison, Minn. Louis Fiene, Echo, ajadMrs. J. C. Dahms, C'olome, S. D.
