Mr. Blake was born in Sheffield, Vt, Aprii 9, 1874 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jahn L. Blake He was a graduate of Sheffield high school. At the age of 21 he entered the eniploy of the Boston and Maine railroad and was an efficient and valuable man in every department in which he was employed. In 1913 he was elected to the import ant office of general chairman of the B. of L. F. and E. and for ninc years he has given unstintingly his best efforts for the interest of thr.t organization, and the interest ciì the road which they served. In 1890 he married Miss Addio M. Foster of Sutton, who with his two children, Miss Opal Blako. aged 16 and Carroll Blake, 22 sur vive him. He was one of a family or 13, and his five brothers and six sisters are ali living.
