THE HOME NEWS EDITED IN THE INTEREST OF McCRORY AND WOODRUFF COUNTY VOLUME 1._ McCRORY, ARKANSAS, FRIDAY, JULY, 30, 1915 NUMBER 1 OUR BOW We present to the people of McCrory and Woodruff County this week Volume 1 Number 1 of The Home News which though small at present, will be enlarged in the future. Realizing the need of a home paper, we have decided to again enter the journalistic field here, after having been solicited by a number of our citizens to “give us a home paper.” We are exceedingly thankful to those who have given us con tracts for advertising, and, al though they are somewhat small in size, they represent business people who are doing the business so to say in the commercial world of McCrory. Had it not been for I these people, McCrory no doubt would not have had a paper, and to them belongs the credit for such, and we feel sure that others will be added to our list of regu lar contracted advertisers in the near future and fhat those whose ads appear in this our first issue will be increased in size. There no doubt will be quite a number of news items omitted this week, but we have gotten up this issue very hurriedly and as only a few knew that we would print a paper this week, we have not learned of any item that may fail to appear. We hope to in all future issues pub lish ALL the news of McCrory and surrounding country, and we will thank any to tell or send any happenings that will be of interest. The price of subscription will be #1.00 per year, 55 cents for six months and 30 cents for three months, and if you are interested in McCrory having a home paper, subscribe, and don’t read the other fellow’s paper.
