ed in “the old home town.”
Generally speaking, the
public school is the biggest
business institution in the
average small town. It has
the greatest number of em
ployed and comes into inti
mate contact with nearly
every home in the community.
No business house can boast
of so large a patronage, "nor
feel the consciousness of such
absolute permanency.
And yet, with all these
claims to establish - the busi
ness-like nature of our public
school, it remains certain that
unless business methods are
used in its administration it is
useless to solicit the confi
dence and undivided interest
ot the public. With this in
view the Board of Directors
of the McCrory Public Schools
has authorized the issuance of
a manual, which shows a de
termination on their part to
place our schools in rank
with the foremost schools in
the state in towns of like size.
