Dr. J. E. Godbev left for Birming
ham, Alabama, Monday to attend the
General Conference of the Methodist
Church South. Dr, Godbey is chair
man of the delegation from the Little
Rock Conference. He will be gone
three weeks.
The Lighting struck the house occu
pied by Fletcher Smith near the Ozan
mill Monday morning tearing down the
flue and knocked quite a hole in the
roof, also cutting the telephone wires
in the house. Fortunately the family
had gone from home to spend the
night.
