We hope to improve as we proceed. Master Chase Stephens is visiting this week in ElDorado at the home of Mr. J. H. Cordell. The City Council has just passed an ordinance forbidding any kind of stock running at large within the corporate limits. Now let us see if they will en force the law. Mr. J. G. Sain, of Nashville, is in the city attending the funeral of G. L. Wilson. Mr. Sain is a popular young attorney and is Grand Sentinel of the K. and L. of II. This part of the state is blessed with the finest prospects for crops that we have had for many years: Corn, cot I ton, oats, everything; and good health added to complete our manifold bless ings. Certainly we should all look up j arid be thankful. Mr .1. M. Mitchell, wh<\moved here | from Indiana a few years ago and bouught a large tract of land in the Carouse bottom has just returned from an extended visit to North Arkansas, ' Indiana, Ohio and other parts. We need a few hundred more immigrants like Mr. Mitchell. There will be a public working on Aughst 15, at the Mainspring camp for the purpose of cleaning the grounds and getting ready generally for the coming campmeeting to begin August 24th.
