SHIPS HOGS BY DIVINE WILL Kansas Farmer Has Some Peculiar Ideas Regarding Filling a Stock Car With Hogs. Kansas City. Mo.—In a few days A. D Coleman, of Abilene. Kan, will have another peculiar shipment of hogs at the Kansas City stock yards. In a letter to his commission men here Mr. Coleman says that “Divine will’ has ordered him to make a consign ment of hogs to market in two 80-foot double-decked cars He does not spec ify how many there will be in each car, but says that ns soon as the hogs have been unloaded in Kansas City the cars will suddenly disappear. A few weeks ago Mr. Coleman consigned six hogs to this market ill two 40 foot stock cars, threo hogs to each car. The shipment, he said, was made in accordance with Divine will, and he expected, on arriving in Kansas City to find the cars filled to ordinary ca pacity or sixty-five to seventy hogs In each car. His first test of his “reve lation," though rather expensive, has not discouraged him in the least. jYjp Coleman owns a 320*acre arm, well stocked and cared for by a ten ant He works for a neighbor at 50 cents a day. and though repeatedly offered more for his services, refuses to accept It. —— - Rat Bit Her Leg. Haroness Aletta Korff tells in one of the magazines how the women of Finland came to vote. The fact Is that women had to show that they could meet an emergency before the vote came to them. They have not had many opportunities to take the initiative in the world's history and they have not always responded when the opportunity came, but when a crisis, such as that in 1904, when the strike and the revolutionary outbreak in Russia took place at the same time, occurred, they proved they could make peace by doing it. Not until England and the Cnlted States find the women helping them to bear some great trouble will they give them the right to vote. Globular Lightning. Yesterday the inhabitants of Lewis ham were provided with a specimen ol' that curious phenomenon known as "globular lightning." It Is what is commonly called the "Are ball," and as it persists for several seconds it is obviously of a totally different char acter from any other form of light ning. It is much less brilliant titan ordinary lightning, und its brightness appears to be that of iron at the "red hot" stage. It is not, as some accounts might lead one to infer, a solid missile, but it Is always spherical and appears to fall from a thunder cloud by its own gravity, sometimes rebounding after striking the ground.—London Globe.
