Stamps, March 26.—With consider able oil in the slush pit and oil in the bailer each time it is withdrawn from the hole, drillers of the Arkansas Texas Company’s McKamie test; are confident they will soon bring in a good producer. Despite the good showings, how ever the crew is having considerable difficulty lining up things to bring in the well. A fishing job halted pro gress two weeks. This time was wast ed, too, as tire bit could not be raised. A new bit was substituted, and the crew drilled around the obstacle in the bottom of the hole. Gas was encoun tered a few days later, wnic'n again caused a postponment of operations.
