Exposition Auto Tourists May not Cross Colorado Eastern Publisher Coming to help Local People Route Them Through State John P. Dods, manager of the Auto Blue Book Publishing com pany, yesterday telegraphed C. M Kittredge Jr., assistant secre tary of the Denver chamber of commerce, that he would make a trip from Denver to Salt Lake by way of Idaho Springs and Grand Junction for the purpose of de termining the practicability of that route as the official exposition auto route from the East during the world’s fair at San Francisco in IVi5 T e American Automobile association has begun mapping an official route to the West and has almost decided to use northern route through Cheyenne, A great effort will be made by the mer chants of Denver to induce the committee to induce a committee to inspect the Colorado route with Mr Dods Dr. K. L Bartlett will accom dany him throughout the whole cftfce trip and other persons who wish to make the trip with the party are asked to register with the secretary of the chamber. For 20 years he had made Colo rado his home. His death occur ed in Denver on July 15th and the remains were brought here and in terred in the Idaho Springs etrey on the 18. He was a man highly respected and loved by his friends. The funeral services were performed by Rev. E. Burns Martain of the Methodist chcrch. Surviving him are six children; Mr. Eddie Toms who resides in England, Mrs. George Cary of Butte, Montana. Mrs. Harry Malt by of Utah; Mrs. William H. Ir vine of this city; Mrs. Harry Han sen of Georgetown and Mrs. G. Banks of Yosemite, Kansas. Mrs. Irvine, Hansen and Banks were the only ones able to attend the funerall Mrs. Gary had been vis iting here in the summer but had left a few days before this sad mis fortune occured. These members of the family desire to express their sincere gratitude for the kind ness aud sympathy shown them during their hoursof bereav ment. The many floral tributes from friends and fraternal ordtrs hav e . been most tenderly appreciated. Especially do we feel under obliga tion to the members of I. O. O. F of which he was a member, the Ladies of Woodcraft, Rev. E. Burns Martain and the church choir for the part they performed in these last sad rites to a beloved parent. These tender tokens of aSectio and friendship; these ad ministiatious of sincere ineerests and all that go toward lessening the burdens that confront one in the solemn hours of death will be gratefllly remembered.
