Denver—Lcglalation forecast in the
ilrst (laye of the twcnty-eighth general
assembly took deflnito shape when
senators and representativos sent a
flood of new bilis Into both .chambón*.
A total of 1.209 bilis were introducen
durlng the 15-tlay period, 633 In the
House and 576 in the Senate. A
total of 1.031 bilis were presented be
fore the last legislatüre two years
ago. Governor Adama signed nearly
200 of those. Twenty mensures and
two joint resolutions carrylng out the
program recommended lo the legisla
ture by Governor Adams In hls inaug
ural message went hefore both houses.
The appropriatiou bilí providing for
general assembly expenses and sal
aries was the first mensure to be re
poned out for conslderation. The bilí
preside» for $102.571.31. Of thls sum
$75.000 is for salarles and travel ex
penses. $15,000 for printlng aud $11,000
for supplies and miscellaneous ex
pense.

perdie-ndo la vida el joven Beatriz
Sandoval, por un balazo infl-gido
por el policía Carlos García, ¡a ma*
drogada del día 20 de Enero.
El altercado parece haberse hucí
i tado debido a que Sandoval se rehu
só el pagar veinticinco centavos, la
entrada al hall,? en el cual era Gar
cía pal leía. De palabra se fueron a
las manos y de las ma>nos resultó
que según se dice García sreyendo
que Sandoval iba a sacar gu arma,
t aró la de él y J ( o disparó el tiro fa
tal.
