Mrs. M. | Richardson and Geo. Hider were ! united in marriage. The couple will at once take up their resi dence on the groom’s ranch on Payne mesa, and they have the hearty congratulations of a large number of triends. Mr. Hider is water commissioner for this dis trict besides being a ranchman of 'experience and ability. Judge Osboldstone this week brought a gallon of selected strawberries to this office that were certainly the finest batch of berries that we ever saw. The wife would not let us eat them but at once preserved the lot and if we can ever catch her away from home we know those berries will be missing when she returns. The Judge says there an: lots ! more like them in his garden, but if so he has the finest strawberry pa»ch in the North Fork. No one could imagine what a speaker meant when he said, "Biddy diddy,” and then, stopped, and after a moment of confusion, said. "Diddy biddy,” and then, with scarlet face and coldly pers ing brow, gasped out, "Dibby biddy, biddy doo.” Then he had to sit down to rest awhile before he could say, "Did he bid adieu?” —Ex. J. F. Wakefield is widening the road up on Oak mesa so the threshing machine may be taken up there this fall to thresh out a couple of years crop of wheat for him. Last year he stacked his wheat and carried it over and this fall he thinks he will nave about 2,500 bushels from both crops. The work ot putting an addi tional story on the canning fac tory is progressing favorably. The new story will be completed in ample time for the opening of the canning season.
