Well, the sum mer’.® over and we've enjoyed It and hope that you have. Don’t forget that school starts Monday, Septem ber Bth. Let's have a full attend ance the first day. Pupils do a great deal better work when they can at tend regularly. Please have the children bring paper and pencils. Don’t overlook the school exhibit at the County Fair. It Is a sample of the work done the past year- We hope to do more the coming year and put Fairfield In the front rank of the schools of Phillips and Sedgwick counties. Miss Wilcox, the high school teach er, was in the neighborhood last Fri day looking for a place to board. She will be back this week to stay. We hope fo ra successful year In the high school. A number of new have been received and moij4 will arrive this week, so we will have all necessary text books to do the best of work. All those ordered are up-to-date In every way. Pupils are ask'd to take good care of the books or replace those carelessly damaged. Some new Improvements have been made at tbe Bchool during tbe sum mer. If any of the pupils or older persons are interested In forming an orchestra I would like to get In touch with them at once and see what we can do. Keep the Parent-Teachers Associa tion in mind. It will help Fairfield school to become better and the child ren deserve the best- We are planning to renew Parents Visiting Day the coming year. Every body is welcome at all times, but more visitors show up when sent a special Invitation. Mr. Mayham and son, Floyd, are staying at the Barbour home doing the chores this week. Carl Radtke and family attended church and the basket dinner at Am herst, Sunday. Mr-, and Mrs. Robert Martin, Vern Echerd and family, Frank Martin and Mrs- Kent and two little boys went to the Wauneta country the first of ! this week to get wild fruit and fish.
