Thla had happened: Victor Martin
and Arllne had been encaged. Some
ooe had led Arllne to believe that while
she was away from Brookvtlle on a

rageously. whereaa In truth and verity,

said.

“Oh. dear!" suddenly uttered "Mias
Dolly Block." and Victor Martin stood
rooted to the spot, atartng wildly.

of the face of Arllne Bortelle!
