creased demand for spuds, and local;

Judge Fahrion and Colonel Pace drove i
up from Kiowa Saturday and attended j
the annual election of officers of Elbert
County Post, G. A. R. Major Johnson I
of Fondis was also present.
The snow storm which raged here all i
day Saturday nnd Sunday extended over
the entire state. About six inches fell
hero and wo noticed a number of people
enjoying their tifst sleigh ride of the
winter.

Workmen have the foundation laid
for a new barn for Dr. Denney. The
building will la* 18x27L feet und it will
be a substantial and well put up build 1
ing. The doctor has also recently com
plctcd a modern chicken house.
