Mrs. Underwood Jewell is visiting at the home of August Deitrich. Mrs. Keever of Norton was a passenger for Denver Tuesday morning. Ray Jones came in last Thursday from a trip through the northwest. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gatewood left thin morning for Lincoln, Nebraska. Ernest Clarke and wife are visiting at the home of F. J. McNamara. Rev. A. F. Wittenberger is eating bis Thanksgiving dinner in Denver. Mrs. Fred Long has returned from a visit with her parents in Denver. B. C. Hilliard was a business visitor in Elbert and Kiowa on Wednesday. Mrs. Fred Fahrion spent last Friday with her mother and sister in Elizabeth. Miss Ilulda Peterson left last week for Cripple Creek to take a mining course. C. B. Ilollems, who was very ill at the Beulah hotel, is better and has returned to Fondis. Dr. George Ing Smith has shipped his household goods to his former home in Oklahoma. Mart Charman has just installed a complete water system in the home of Alex Brazelton. Sam Taggart, who has been in Denver for some time, reports that his brother in law is no bettor. Mrs. George Gardner and her mother, Mrs. W. A. Allbaugh, left on Wednes day for Leon, lowa. Charley Humborg, brother of Mrs. Adolph Kunze, left Tuesday morning for Dacono to work in the mines. A light fall of the beautiful arrived in Elbert Tuesday evening. The storm was general throughout the state. Jack Dawson of Eastonville wont through Elbert Tuesday morning on.fcus way to Elizabeth to cry a sale there. William Leach and J. W. Mellor wore callers at this office last week and or dered The Tribune for another year. George Gardner returned Tuesday night from his trip to lowa. He is still undecided about moving back there. Floyd Beverly has moved from the Sherman Epler property to Mrs. J. C. Mowrey’s house in the south end of town. Word was received Sunday evening of the death of George Smith, brother of Mrs. Ed Orin, who was killed while rail roading in Nebraska. The charivari party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Brazelton was a pro nounced success, everyone in attendance having a most enjoyable time. John Lough, who has been in Colora do Springs for two weeks under the care of an eye specialist, returned Monday morning. Mr. Lough's eye was poisoned by rust and smut in grain, but Is much better now. N. F. Brown returned on Thursday evening from a trip to Denver. Rumor has it that while there he joined the ranks of the benedicts, but N. F. himself is rather non committal when the sub ject is mentioned. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Norton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, wore visiting with the family of Jesse Squires last Sunday on their way home from a visit to the coast. Mrs. Norton is a cousin of the , late Edwin Squires. Married —ln Colorado Springs on Wednesday, November 18. Lewis Brazel ton of Elbert and Emma Brust, formerly of this vicinity, but lately a resident of the Springs. This young couple are well and very favorably known in Elbert, the groom being the son of County Com missioner Brazelton and one of the most promising young men of Elbert county, i His bride taught the school at Sidney, where she made many friends. Masters of Denver is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Millard of North Bend ranch. J. E. Burkhart has rented the Dunn place, which, with his own, will gi\ r e him over GOO acres. Floyd Coe, who has been laid up with a sore throat for some time, is now get ting well again. Charles Leatherland of near Easton ville has rented the two Hansen ranches and will move to them about the first of the year. H. J. Hansen sold his stock and feed . to Sharold \dams and moved to Col orado Springs last week. He expects to go into business there.
