Mrs. Wm. Renkon is expected to re
turn from her extended stay in Denver
Saturday. Dora is doing so nicely it is
tbotshe will be able to come home the
•latter part of next week.
Mrs. A. M. Griffiths, who is staying at
the ranch for n short time, finds it im
possible to get along without the Tribune,
has ordered it sent to her un'il she re
turns to Lake George, where the paper j
is a regular weekly visitor.
Miss Mary Clugy, who had a serious
ease of appendicitis and was in a dan
gorous condition for a time. Is rapidly
recovering and expected to come home
next week, which will be pleasing news
to her large circle of friends.
Born on Saturday, Jan. (5, 1917, to Mr.
and Mrs. T. W. Williams, a son. Tom is ■
so tickled over the fact that he has been I
trying to keep the news secret. It is
safe to say the young man will be brot
up in the strict Republican faith.

Sales of Eastonville will have prize* bulls
on Sunday morning’s train destined for
the stock show in Denver. It i» a safe
bot some of the aggregation will capture
prizes.
Starting in last week Tom Burnside
entered upon his third term as county
treasurer, a distinction that is seldom
accorded an official. His splendid man
agement of the office was largely re
sponsible for the tine endorsement he
received at the polls, but Tom’s chief
asset is his straight forward and open
methods, fii« friendship being just as
sincere after election as it is during a
political campaign. Play fair with Tom
Burnside and he will always be a friend.
The Trioune would be glad to see him
presiding over the slates' cash box some
time in the not too distant future.

keep out of the footsteps of the former

The hero of Manila bay. Admiral
George Dewey, dipd at his home in
Washington, D. , Tuesday night. He
was revered by all true Americans.
On Thursday, February 1, 1917, Henry
Gensch, who lives feur miles south we-t
of Elbert, on the Cornforth ranch, will
sell horses, cattle, farming implements
and household goods.
The bridge men have put a new Moor
in the depot and enclosed the west porch
of the section house. The company must
intend to spend a portion of the million
dollar surplus they accumulated from
last year's business in making some
needed improvements on the old line
A pleasant surprise was sprung on the
members of the Woodmen of the World
last Tuesday evening when about 8:30 p.
in the ladies marched in bringing cake
and other good things to eat, each lady
also bringing a plate, which was pr<
son ted to the lodge. All enjoyed the
evening.
