Co., was in town Monday look ing over a mule which was injured at the mine. Mrs. E. O. Nodgren is visiting at Clayton, Colo., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh Benson. Ruth Grant, who has been sick, up and around again. Dom Ilari of Fremont has his leg broken in the Fremont Monday and was taken to Minnequa hospital at Pueblo. The Canon City Land and Cattle Co. was busy unloading and hauling beet pulp Tuesday. Misg Grace Payne was a Florence' visitor Tuesday. Mrs. Richard Goodhead of Florence was visiting relatives here Tuesday. Mrs. Richard Rawe was in Canon City on business Tuesday . The cmomunity Christmas tree at the Y. M. C. A Friday evening was a great success. The program rendered by the children was fine and Santa Claus was on hand to give out candy for every child i nthe town. Mrs. G. M. Phillips. Miss Grace Payne. Prof. Wright, Mrs. Martin Welsh and others wer eresponsible for such a program. After the program there was a dance, which broke up early next morning. Supt. J D. Cribbs, who suggested the entertainment, was very well pleased In the way it was arranged. There were 580 children furnished candy, nuts and oranges, moeny for which was! collected from th ecommunity. Such a spirit Is always commendable. Lincoln Park Mr. and Mrs. Beck and little daush ter were up from Pueblo to Bpend Christmas at the parental Ralston home on Garfield street. Maeter John Carter was greeting his schoolmates at the Lincoln Park gliding for a little while Thursday for the first time after being housed up with a siege of sickness. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCartney and family have been enjoying a visit from Mrs. McCartney’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick of Walsenburg. A baby boy has arrived at the home of Mrs. J. D. Knauf on Grand avenue Friday, December 24. Miss Mcßee, a Red Cross nurse. Is looking after the interests of the family , Paul Logan, a student at Colorado / Co'lege, is at home for the holiday vacation. Mrs. Joe Dunfee was down from Cottonwood creek last week as a guest of Dr. and Mrs. Caditell. Mrs. i Dunfee is caring for Jerome Taylor's baby, which she brought down for 1 j treatment.
