LAKE VALLEY i, o-.o-i.tof-n miles from Deming, which invnful.PH the cam o with supplies. The heaviest sales ever recorded in uu. county, and probably in the Territory, have been made by Mr. J. A. Miller at Lake valley. These sales were made to San Francisco and New York capitalists and amounted to over $300,000. The nurchnsers have at present 100 men at work and will soon increase the numoci lo 80Ü. These mines have a very des.r able location, being within sight of Deming, with plenty of water, and ev ery facility for work close at hand. Some millions of money win oe mvi p here and the busy hum of industry will be heard in the hills. GEORGETOWN. This is a very important mining camp, d was discovered in 1860. In 1872 the wealth of the camp became apparent and it took a start which it ha3 main tained up to the present time and con lorn hm-ond doubt a vast amount of mineral wealth as yet undiscovered Thpro is a weekly newspaper published here called tho Silver Brick, edited by Lamar P. Davis, which has a largo cir dilation in the Territory- CARRIZALILLO Is in Old Mexico and thirty-eight miles from Deming. The veins in this mine nnniinunus and compact, and have every appearance of true fissures Thev bear a hirh grade of silver rock with copper, silver glance, brittle and horn silver. The prospector from the east can reach Doming by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railroad, where he can always procure a conveyance direct to the mines. Already several of the mines have been developed fifty feet, with a splended showing to their own ers. One mine was recently sold for a handsome sum. A smelter will be soon erected. TRES HERMANOS. Is about twenty-four miles from Dem ing It, like the rest, is a new camp. It is not settled whether the mines are ledges or deposits. Quantities of blos soms rock has been found which assays up in the thousands character of ore, nMm-iflpsi or horn silver. 1 here is an abundance of water in tho vicinity whiln wood is plentiful in the Floridas, a distance of ten miles. The veins are situated in low hills and a wagon can be driven to any of them without road-making. The A. T. & S. F. railroad passes within twenty miles of tho mines. EUREKA Is a mining district and is about forty miles distant from Deming and contains carbonates carrying chlorides. Primi tive Mexican smelters have made large sums of money in camp for their own ers. Tho largest and best body of ore has been found at 130 feet. FLORIDAS MOUNTAIN, A distance of seventeen miles from Deming and south of the A. T. & S. F. railroad. There are twenty hero at m-csent. Uve of which have been devel oped with very satisfactory results at a distance from ten to eighty feet.
