LAST NIGHT'S GERMAN A BRILLIANT AFFAIR The german given in the parlors of oie Ogletoorpe last night, under the auspices of the Nine O'clock Cotillion club, was one of the most delightful and ,elaborate dances ever given in Brunswick, The ballroom was artis tically decorated, the decorations ail being suggestive of St. Valentine’s day. ~>mall red hearts were stretched around the entire ballroom, with red ribbons leading from the several chan deliers to the sides of the wall. Large Japanese umbrellas were also used in the decorations. The parlor presented a hriliiant scene and added greatly to the affair. A large number of unus ually handsome gowns we j worn by many of those attending. At. n o'clock ail those present re paired to tne dining-room, where an elegant, luneh was served. The tables, etc., were also profusely decorate.l. There was an unusually large number of dancers present afal the affair proved to he a most enjoyable one. Several popular out-of-town young ladies were present and they added much to the pleasure of the evening. i. _ * * * Mrs. Cornell to Entertain. Mrs. H. \V. Th° ladies of the First Methodist church are arranging a very unique affair, to be given in the Riflemen's armory on Friday, March 5. dt will be for the children and will be in tne nature of a Billy Possum” parly.
