Glynu county, during the revolu
tionary war, was scourged by the pre
dations of Mcttiri h and Caddy Carr,
who ravaged this section in the name
of the crown, but really for robbery.
Tbeo came the capture and destruc
tion of Frederica by British vessels,
which lft it the “Dead City of Geor
gia,” Through (be period following
the revolution, Captain Wylly carries
us w itb in st interesting detail, giving
inside and hitherto unpublished facts
of the founding nnd settlement of
Brunswick, and how the whole of What
is now Brunswick was dividi and, fenced
aud planted by four men—lattes
Hang ham, A. D. Lawrence, Robert
Files and Robert llazlehurst. .
