selected Oats, Peas, Beans, fyc. These words are now almost exclu sively sung by the young Misses and Musters, in one of their eveniug pas times, to words having even less gram mar than sense. At our particular re quest a platocn of pretty girls at a fash ionable Institute, knotted their heads to gethcr, and unitedly produced twenty lines, commencing in this wise: "Oats, peas, beans ami barley grows, You nor I nor nobody knows How oats, peas, beans and barley grows, For you nor I nor nobody knows." With the full knowledge that the "oats," "peas," "beans," "barley," sense, grammar, and all, unchangeably sterotypod in their hearts, and dulcified and blessed with unnumbered kisses upon their lips, we shall still at the risk of bringing down the fire of a whole regiment of them about our ears, ven ture to give the following version of . Oats, Peas, Beans, eye. 'Tis in the field the farmer goes, And there his seed the farmer sows; But you nor I nor nobody knows, How oats, peas, beans, or barley grows. Tuus the farmers sows his seeds Thus he stands and takes his ease lie stamps his foot and clas his hands Around he turns and views his lands Waiting for a partner Waiting for a partner Open the ring and let her in, And kiss her when you get her in. "Tis now you're married you must be good, And make your husband cut the wood, Saw it, and split it, and fetch it in, Then kiss and kiss and kiss again. The oats are gathered in the barn, The best produce is from the farm; Gold and silver must be made, And on your lips the kisses laid. Waiting for a partner, &c. Ingleside. New Firm. The Tape worm! I This is the most difficult Worm to destroy of all that infest the human system, it grows to an almost indefinite length becoming so coiled and fastened in the intestines and stomach effecting the health so sadly as to cause St. Vitus Dasce, Fits, &c, that those afflicted seldom if ever suspect that it is Tape Worm hastening them to an early grave. In order to destroy this Worm, a very energetic treatment must be pursued, it would there fore be proper to take 6 to 8 of my Liver Pills so as to remove all obstructions, that the Worm Syrup may act direct upon the Worm, which must be taken in doses of 2 Tablespoonfulls 3 times a day. these direc tions followed have never been known to fail in curing the most obstinate case of Tape Worm. 03HobensacVs Liver Pitts. No part of the system is more liable to disease than the LIVER, it serving as a fil terer to purify the blood, or giving the pro per secretion to the bile; so that any wrong action of the Liver effects the other import ant parts of the system, and results various ly, in Liver Complaint, Jaundice, Dyspepsia, &c.
