It is a harsh and a severe rcmpilv. under its rule sometimes the iunocent will be m ide to suffer for the guilty, but the ood arising from its- exercise will counterbalance the evil. Our self respect and self preservation demand it. if the system for the fu ture, shall be adopted one thing is cer tain, the Confederacy will not be re sponsible for the evil which will neces sarily follow. Dying Confession of a K. G. C. A Correspondent of the Philadelphia Inquirer furnishes the following state ment : A man of respectable connections, who resided some years Jear Hillsburg, Pa., died a few days since at his home.
