I'm sorry end sore, no job have I got. Though havu sought one at many a door. They »«ay. “You're too old." how little they wot What It I" to be hungry and sore. My bed last night was a d*-pot seat, And I've traveled since early morn, l*p and down, up and down the long dusty street. With a hope like the "hope forlorn." I'm so hungry and tired. No work did I get. Though seeking It at every door. Hut, not alms or aid, I have never bagged yet. For one may have pride although poor. My heart grows heavy, for fast comes the night. With no money my lodgings to pay. And fainting with hunger, no supper In sight. It has been a most terrible day. My weary feet will wander no more. With anguish I inwardly moan, flow bitter It Is to be aged and poor. And mod bitter when one Is alone. With no place to rest, or nothing tu eat. Where comfort and surfeit abide Great God! Must I famish and die in the street. As many before me have died! J J. Johnson, Strike Duty 4100 John Wray. Strike Duty 3ft 00 A A. Miller. Strike Duty 3ft Oft J. C. Hire, Strike Duty 3ft 00 <). II.
