Sheriff Swan Torkelson, ol* Clearwater county, whose re moval from office the Reform eague at Bagiey is trying to ac complish at present, announces that he is nol worrying about the outcome of his present trouble Mr. Torkelson says the proceed ings against him are actuated purely by malic*1 and personal spite and he does not believe the governor will be influenced by them. He also expresses the opinion that he will get a more fair hearing before any commis sion that the governor may ap point to investigate his record than it would be possible to re ceive from any of the Reform League people at Bagiey and is of the opinion that they will be unable to "go through" with the action they have started. The hoard of county commis sioners have-just petitioned the probate court to appoint an ad ministrator Cor tlii' estate [of Harry Limborner, who died at the state hospital for the insane as! June. Limborner was form erly a resident of this vicinity and homestcaded a quarter sec tibn of land in the town of Maple Ridge. He was taken suddenly ill and was taken to the county poor farm, where about 1 was expended in his care before he developed a had case of insanity and was taken to the f'syium, where he died. Limborner has relatives in the vicinity of Park Ivapids, or in Hubbard county, whom the probate court is trying to locate. NE W SURVEY Extension O M. & I. From hlli her to Beaudette May Be Sur veyed This Winter. The announcement- -is made that the Minnesota and Interna tional railway will make a survey some time during the present, winter of a proposed extension of the line from Kelliher north to Beaudette. The survey will be made to establish the practica bility of the line and the prob able cost of its construction to the promoters. It is announced that a party of M. *Y I. officials are to go over the country through which the line is pro posed some time during the next eek.
