I ordered from you last summer about a-half ton of bmder
twine of different kinds, among which were two bales of A 1
American hemp twine. As I ordered it for our Association, it was
divided as each wished to try the different kinds one-half bale fell
to my lot; I used it and the best manila, liked both equally well,
the hemp was stronger and harder twisted.
Yours truly, C. A. PEMBER.
Lincoln, S. Dak.
I used your A 1 American hemp twine on something over 100
acres and it worked well. The only thing that was required was
to keep the knife sharp. The machine used was the McCormick.
Very Respt’ly, H. J. FRANK.
Lincoln Co., S. D., Feb. 1892.
I used the A 1 American hemp twine last harvest and found it
to be as good as any of the other kinds I have used. In one way
it was better, the cricketfjfdid not cut it. It worked in the binder
perfectly and took no more to the acre. I was well pleased with
it. JOHN M. IVERSON.
1 Winnebago Co., 111, Jan. 1893.
I am pleased to inform you that the A 1 American hemp
twine purchased of you for last season’s harvest gave perfect
satisfaction. I have used all kinds of twine but never used any
that pleased me as well. Others who used twine out of the same
lot pronounced It excellent. Yours, respectfully,

lam well pleased witp the A 1 hemp twine. It done as good
work as any twine I overbought. Did not fuzz up nor break in
the binder. Run good aff the way through and gave the best of
satisfaction. I also used f it in tying corn-fodder and liked it very
much as it is a stout twine. E. N. DTJNWIDDIE
Rock Co., Minn., Jan. 1893.
I used the A 1 American hemp binding twine last harvest and
am well pleased with it. It is the cheapest twine that I ever used
Ist, it costs less per hundred. 2d. A pound of it will tie more
bundles than any other tVrine. 3d. It is not so liable to be eaten
by the crickets as the other twines are. THOMAS RAW
Winnebago Co., 111., Dec. 1892.
As for my experience with the A 1 American hemp twine, 1 will
say that it worked equal to any twine that I ever used. I would
sooner use the American hemp than the best manila for two rea
sons, viz. it is cheaper and the crickets do not cut it like they do
the manila. Yours Respt. C. H. STORDOCK.
Minnehaha Co., S. D., Feb. 1893.
I need a quantity of the A 1 American hemp binder twine last
season. It pave perfect satisfaction in all respects and binds
more grain per pound than any other twine that I have used. I
would advice all brother farmers to give it a fair trial as I believe

BINDER TWINE!
IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!
Green Co., Wis., Jan. 1893.
I purchased several hundred pounds of , A 1 American hemp
twine for myself and brother patrons last season and I did not
hear one objection to the A 1 hemp. One of my brother patrons
had me order 50 poiinds of pure Manila and used both, and said
he preferred the hemp, said it did not break as much and went
farther. One thing about the hemp it seldom broke and the
crickets did not eat the bands off. At least they did not in our
grain. I think too much cannot be said in favor of A 1 Americas
hemp. . Fraternally, T. J. ANDERSON
Green Co., Wis., Jan. 1893.
The A 1 American hemp binder twine that we received from
yon last year gave the best of satisfaction. It goes farther than
any twine I ever used. It is a very smooth twine. I cut about
eighty acres of grain last year and the twine did not break but
twice, then it got tangled in the twine box. Of course it had to
break then. The gentlemen who used it around here last year are
well pleased with It and say they want it this year. Respt.
J. A. BRIDGE
Rock Co., Wis., Jan. 13,1893.
The A 1 hemp twine which I used last harvest gave very good
satisfaction. Twine running well in binder and proving very
strong. It. did not break once except win n the eye of the needle
became choked with straw or weeds. While I do not think a
pound of it will bind as much grain as some other kinds, the pries
is so much lower that the same amount of grain can be bound at
less cost with it than with any other twine 1 ever used.
W. J. BEALS.
The A 1 American hemp binder twine we bought of the Uuion
last season gave the very best of satisfaction. It bound good,
did not break or tangle in the machine and the grasshoppers did
not touch it though they were thick as bees in a hive. All the
members of our Association that bought twine was well pleased
with it, even men outside of our organization claimed it was the
best hemp twine they evar saw. It run so even and smooth I
think all that bought of it last year w ill buy of it this season.
Frat’y. CHAS BRANDES.
Rock Co., Minn., Jan. 1893.
I used your A 1 American hemp twine last season and that
with great success and good satisfaction. It was the best twine I
ever used, and worked in the binder better than any I ever had
before because it runs so even. It was the same from one end of
the ball to the other. Crickets will not touch it. I have recom
mended it to others, and many more will use the twine next sea
son. Yours truly, JOHN MICHELSEN.
Your A 1 American hemp binder twine was the best I ever
used. It runs smooth and nice and will uot clog in the needle on
account of the fuzz. It is stronger than the best manila twine 1
have used or seen. Will not use any other if I can get the A 1
American hemp. AUGUST ENGEL.
Lincoln Co., S. D., 1898.
The A 1 American hemp twine was satisfactory in every
particular. It worked to perfection in the machine and was not
molested by the insects. The consumption per acre was so much
less than we expected judging from previous experience with
other twines’ that we have some two hundred pounds more than
we needed. We are yours Respt. BEDDOE BROS.
