Absent: Mr. President (excused). * Upon motion Mr. Barrett took the chair. Reading the minutes of the 23rd Inst, dispensed with, and upon motion the said minutes were approved. Agr.cs Bieu nan. by her attorneys, Mcssers. Smith & Hawthorne, presented a petition asking . compensation for cer tain property claimed to have been con demned for the opening of Wyoming Street. Referred to Corporation Attor ney for report as to what relief, if any, can be given the petitioner. E. J. Kirkland made application • and submitted bond for license to tap and connect with city sewers during the year 1888, which was granted in accord ance with rules and regulations, and bond approved. . . , W. Steinmetz made application and submitted bond for license to make ex cavations for the purpose of building areas, cellars, foundations or other im provements into, upon or under public highways, streets or sidewalks, which was granted in accordance ; with rules and regulations, and bond approved. The Engineer submitted plans and specifications for the grading of Rondo 6treet, from Mackubin street, to Lexing ton avenue; and for the construction of a sewer on said Rondo street, from Mac kubin street to Dale street, together with the necessary catchbasins and manholes (said grading and sewering to be done under one contract), which were examined and approved, and the Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for said improvement. . The Engineer having submitted plana and specifications for the construction of a sewer on Sibley street, from Eighth street to Ninth street, together with the necessary catchbasins and manholes, including the necessary sewer connec tions to the property lines. Also lor the construction of a sewer on Bradley street, from Beaumont 6treet to Minnehaha street; on Col borne street, from West Seventh street to St. Clair street; on Western avenue, from Goodrich avenue to West Seventh street, together with the necessary catchbasins and manholes, which were examined and approved and the Clerk : was directed to advertise for bids for said improvements.
