As was stated in our last weeks paper
Edward St John and his sister Dessln
havo brought suit iu the circuit court
against Jasper county and their father
Willard St John for the potfrsion of
and title to the ICO acre farm just west
of this city
In August 1895 Hvo inonths after the
death of bis wife the defendant Willard
St John borrowed money from the
county and gave n mortgage on this land
The county is now about to forclosu on
it and thn sale h set for Oct 3

John also Thoy set forth that the title
could only bo in their mother and at her
death passed to them leaving only a
life estate for their fathr Hence they
ask that tho court render judgment

county from proceeding with the foro

Mrs II A Ringer died last Thursday
at her home serin miles northeast of
Jaspir The funeral was held on Sat
urday and the remains were laid to rest
in the Mt Carmel churchyard
Again tho cold hand of death his
coma among us and taken from our
midst n dciotcd companion a loving
mother and n fiithful and much beloved
friend Mrs II A Ringer was born in
Ohio Jau20 lSil ami her Ago nas DO
y rs 0 mon and 20 days She bad been
an invalid for several years but It was
known until a few hours befors bor death
that she was feeling worse than usual
In 1670 she gitn her heart to Christ anil
united with tho M E Church and
since that time nhn has been an earnest

example for Christ in hor homo and the
c immunity in which sho lived While
she will be so sadly missed wo know that
our lofs is her eternal gain
She leaves n husband and two daughters
