After using fifty sticks of dynamite in fourteen holes in the bottom of the shaft there is plenty of water in sight with the Frisco pumps running to. The shaft is more than three feet deeper than it was and the restrictions placed on the excessive use of water is now removed. Miss Mary Hunter has re covered from a slight illness. Brumbach, a well known attorney of Mt. Vernon, died at his home in that city, Monday, The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. West which was tried at Lamar yesterday, the jury rendered a verdict In favor of Dr. West. This suit was filed at Cassville and was taken to Barton County on a change of venue. Gilfillen sued Dr. West for $10,000 on a charge of malpractice, in setting a broken bone which was broken again and reset by Dr. West and resulted in a crooked limb.
