Fascinating Fashions in the New Fall Suits
Take our word for nothing but try to examine individ
ually these -charming fashions in Fall and Winter suits.
Words fail, at least the limited vocabulary at our command,
to express anything worthy of the reality. Orientalism in
chastened and discreet fashions is the noticeable trend of
Pall suits. The variety of beautiful styles in tailored, demi
tailored and dressy models is greater than ever. Cutaway
jackets are still popular, although many modifications of the
attractive blouse effects are to be seen. Lengths range from
36 to 38 inches in the back. Belts and sashes at the waist
line are another new feature. Skirts continue narrow around
the hem and show many forms of draperies.
Satiny Styles in Fall Silks in Rich Array.
Charmouse, Messaline, Crepe Meteor, Crepe de Chine,
Cantons and Metelasse weaves and others are the lainilar
silks that will lead this Pall. After all, old friends are best in
most instances. Although many rich new shades are intro
duced which give the Fall silks the desired touch of newness.
Our big showing includes every silk and every shade that
will be in demand.
Hosiery and Knit Underwear to Harmonize With.
Other Fall Fashions.
In Fall Hosiery and Underwear our improved assortment
furnishes exery example of 'excellence in both lines. Im
provements in union suits and underwear, made so as to suit
the situation. Hosiery in the Fall shades which will be most
in demand. Complete ranges of sizes and styles to select
from and at prices that assure better values than can be se
cured elsewhere.
A notable feature of this Formal Open
ing will be the showing of authoriative
fashions upon living models. The styles
shown on living models will be on exhibition
from 7 p. m. until 10 p. m. Friday evening.

An Interesting Assortment of New Fall Coats
The divei'sity of Fall styles opens opportunities for an
individual style for nearly every woman, and it certainly
gives every woman a chance to get that style which is most
exactly suited to her personality. Fullness is a general fea
ture of Fall and Winter coats, which helps the vogue for
rough faced woolens, brocades, matellase, etc. Plainly
tailored coats that follow the figure, rfnd of smooth faced
cloths, are dressy exceptions to the rule. Pile fabrics and
imitation furs hold sway for Winter. The fashionable length
is 48 inches with rounded or pointed corners. Oddly cut
seams, trimmed baek, deep yokes and sashes and belts are
prominent features. (

Crepe effects, that is crepe expression in smoothly rough
or roughlysmooth faced clothes, Eponges for example.
That's one phase of Fall wear. Another is represented by
prunella cloth, bayadere effects and cheviots, serges, etc.
Plaids are the leading novelty and will attain some degree of
.popularity. Whatever is new and fashionable you will be
sure to find in our large and unusually varied assortments.
Fall Furs of Trustworthy Quality and Rich Style.
Fashionable fur coats are full from the shoulder to the
hips, tapering to the figure lower down in order to show the
silhouette. Loosely hanging cutaways are very popular,
scant at the bottom to conform to the fashions in gowns.
The fashion for fur sets spreads round the world, large
muffs alternate with oblong shapes and neck-pieces graduate
from wide scarfs ties and small Collars, Our extensive as
sortment embraces all the reliable kinds of furs, beautifully
and prominently dyed and expertly finished.

The New Fall Dresses Are Unusually Beautiful
Former seasons can offer no comparison for the new Fall
styles because this season's showing so far outshows the
past. Smart woolen dresses are shown in unlimited variety
in the favorite soft wool materials of the day. Dancing frocks
are no longer monopolized by misses but are plentifully
shown io. company with calling frocks in more matronly
fashions. Soft clinging materials that drape easily are most
ly employed. The bodies of many gowns show the Japanese
influence by kimono sleeves, soft surplice lines, the opening
at the throat and the wide crush girdles and sashes. In a
diversity of contiats and combinations these winsome dress
designs leave little to be desired.
The New Dress Trimming Show a Wealth of
Beautiful Novelties. - "
With such beautiful trimmings as are featured for Fall
no garment need be plain and unhandsome. Rich beaded
effects are the big thing, with ornaments, tassels, pendants
and irregular separate novelties not far behind. Waistcoats
of velvet or fancy oriental-silks or crepes, jets in novel forms
and a multitude of button in all sorts of odd shapes which
"have evidently been" inspired by the cubist crazo are some of
the other fashions that will' play a prominent part in .Fall
dress trimming faishions.
