RUSCHA DANIEL COBLE DEAD Daniel Coble died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Prudence Ma rion, in Forest Park, early Thurs day morning. His death was caused by heart trouble and com plications. Mr. Coble was born in Ohio eighty years ago. He had lived in this vicinity many years. Funeral services will be held at Kings Prairie church, Friday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Stribling. Interment will be made' in Kings Prairie cemetery. ENTERTAINED Mrs. Roy Smith entertained a number of young people Wednes day evening in honor of Misses Bessie Rhodes and Marie Webb, of Springfield. The party con sisted of members of the senior class of the high school and a few other friends of Miss Fyrn Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gelker, of Newton, Kan., arrived in the city "Wednesday on a few days visit to Mr. Gelker's brother and sister, A. W. Gelker and Mrs. M. Steinbock. All berres were sold on track, the lowest price per crate being $2.00 and the highest price, $2.50 The average price has been near $2.50. There will be several more cars shipped before the season closes. ' The Ozark Fruit Growers As sociation has shipped sixty-seven cars of berries from the Monett district, fifteen of them being from Monett, The price Wednesday was $2.50 per crate, and the average price for the season will not fall far below that figure for first class berries. Dr. Francis Toms will make the principal address at Westbay cemetery and Rev. Jas. F. King will also speak. Music will be furnished by the choir of the Christian church. F. P. Sizer has purchased a fine Paige automobile of the J. H. Wagner agency. It was brought overland from Kansas City and Sizer and Wagner report a great jack rabbit race while near Neva da. . The rabbit made a great spurt of speed and stuck to the track but the Paige was too much for him and he got run over. Dr. C. H. Orr, of Burlington, Wash., was in the city Wednes day and Thursday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. H. P. S, Burke. He is visiting relatives in Mt. Vernon. Saturday June 6 is the last day on which candidates for office will be permitted to file their declarations as candidates for of fice. Mrs. Ernest Brown has re turned to her home at Sapulpa, Ok., after a visit with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Johns ton. Her brother, George Johns ton, went home with her. .
