RESOLUTION NO. 131 A resolution declaring it neces sary to improve the roadway portion of Lincoln Street in the City of Mo n,t, Missouri, fiv... the north line of Cr.le street, thence north to the south line of County street, xy excavating, filling, grading, preparing foundation therefor and graveling said Lincoln street, between the lines foresaid with creek gravel. Be it Resolved by the Council of the City of Monett, Missouri as follows: Section 1. That the Council of iha City of Monett deems and declares it m be necessary to .improve the road way portion of Lincoln, street, in the City of Monett, Missouri, from the north line of Cale street, thence north to the south line of County street by excavating, filling, grading preparing foundation 'iher-sfdr an: graveling said Lincoln street between the lines aforesaid, with creek gravel also including the returns into intersecting- streets and alleys. Section 2. That said improvement shall be done in accoi'dance with the plans, specifications and estimate of costs prepared by the City Engineer for said work and improvement ,ann now on file in the office of the Civ Clerk of Monett and subject to the inspection of the Public. Section 3. To pay for said im provement a special assessment shall be levied by the Council and special tax bills shall be issued in accord ance with Sections S323 and 8324 of the Revised Statutes 1919, of the State of Missouri, against all lots, tracts and parcels of land abutting on both sides of said Lincoln streec along the distance improved in pro portion to the front foot thereof, and the cost of all excavating, filling ana grading shall be included in the special assessment and tax bills to be issued for said ' work and improve ment, the general'revenuc funds of the city, in the opinion of the city council not being in a condition to warrant and expenditure therefrom for any of such purposes. Section 4. This (resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. Passed and approved this 23rd day of April, 1921. S. A. CHAPELL, Mayor.
