Marshall who was here to assist our pastor in the meet ing was called home by the serious ill ness of his father. The sick are all reported better. Ray Mulkey who had scarlet fever is able to be out. No other cases de veloped and they are out of quaran tine now. J. H. Johnson of Monett and Major A. P. Matthews of Cal., who is visit ing relatives heie, attended church at this place Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Bandy and children visited Sunday with the lat ters parents Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Mul key. The Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Jenkins were Rev. G. A. Fer guson, Mrs. R. L. Matthews. Joe Mulkey has his new residence in Forest Park almost completed. The Club will meet next j Thursday night at the Wheeler school hou.ie. Jess Farless of Crane visited Clif ford Smith and family Sunday. Clifford Smith and wife and Miss Ida Farless spent Thanksgiving with Mr. Underwood and family. Mr .and Mrs. Nathan Pruitt and Clifford Smith helped Roy Ash butch er, Monday. The Help Along Club, Ladies Aux iliary of the Wheeler Farm Club met with Mrs. Vina Pruitt Tuesday even ing. There were ten members pres ent and four visitors. Two joined the club. WE ARE VERY THANKFUL Wc desire to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who in any way assist ed us during the sickness and death of our late friend Irvin Black. Mr. Black was in no way related to us but was like one of our own family. We want in a special manner thank Dr. J. D. Shaddrick for his sermon and the consoling words he always has on an occasion like this. We also desire to commend H. I. Bradford and his boys for the manner in which they handled everything. They seem to know just what to io and how to' condoct every thing in the most satisfactory-and pleasing way.
