One of the !c;"J'n';; social events of tlie season was the entertaining of the Century Club anil its guests, about sixty in all by Mrs. W. L. Keid, Tues day evening. The color scheme and decora tions were tho-je of the club, green and white and the ices carried out the luei by being in, for, and color, that ot the Fleur de lis, selected because the club, which is of a literary nature, had been making a study uf Franco. The punch bow! was presided over by Misses Anna Houlware .and Carolyn li gcrs. Two farmers have adopted the plan of road dragging, and now wheu you drive over their road you think you are on a pike road. If all farmers would adopt this system they would benefit themselves and all wbo travel on their road. Evening Citizen: Prof. Bannister has been teacher of manue) training in the high school for two years, succeeding Prof. Nute the latter resigning and accepting a simi lar position is a school at Rock port N. Y. Mr. Bannister is a graduate of the Missouri State University and was a teacher in the schools of Billings, Montana before coming to thi's city. .
