It will chronicle the most important foreign and domestic news, and will particularly concern itself with the doings of Jews in the Rocky Mountain region. Rosenfeld of Council Blurt’s, after spending the entire summer in Denver and other points in the Colorado mountans, has returned home. Mr. ITirsch is inter ested in mining along the new Moffat road. Mr. and Mrs. Leopold of Cleveland have returned home from a trip to Den ver, Manitou, Colorado Springs and many other points of interest. Mr. Abe Fink of Helena, Arkansas, has joined his wife and will remain in the eity for several weeks. Mr. M. C. Reefer of Kansas City, one of the prominent wholesale merchants of that eity, joined his wife and daugh ter, who have been spending the summer in Denver, and will return home shortly with them. Mr. and Sirs. It. Raphael of Los An geles spent a few days in the city last week. Mr. Raphael is one of the officials of the new Jewish hospital in Los An geles and is making a tour of inspection in the interests of that institution. The Rock Island railroad has issued a pamphlet. “Under the Turquoise Sky,” full of splendid illustrations of scenes in and around Colorado. This gives just the information which the prospective tourist would he glad to have. Any one addressing the General Passenger Agent of this road can obtain a copy. Mr. William Hahn, the popular presi dent. of Denver Lodge 171, I. O. B. 8.. has gone East, on a month’s vacation. Mr. Hahn will call on Mr. Simon Wolff of Washington, D, C., and personally extend to him the invitation to visit Den ver lodge. Mr. Ilahn will also go to New York, New Haven and other eastern cities before his return home. Mr. Dawson Mayer, the special rep resentative of the Jewish Exponent of Philadelphia, and an old-time newspa per man of Ran Francisco, was a passing visitor in the city this week. Mr. Mayer has been doing the World’s Fair, where he spent tlie last six weeks, and is now on his way to the Clark Exposition at Portland, Oregon, where he will act as a special representative of the St. Louis Star. COLORADO SPRINGS. After a pleasant eastern trip Mr. Alex Keibscheid has returned home. Miss Amelia Lilly will spend next week visiting friends in Rocky Ford. Mr. S. Bacharach of La Junta is vis it in*' his mother, Mrs. L. Bacharach. Mi’s. I). Ilelfer and daughter, Leah, after an enjoyable visit in Denver, are home again. Mrs. Ellinger and two sons of Wash ington. Kansas, are the guests of Mrs. A. < tbendorfer. Mr. M. K. Myers and daughter. May, left yesterday for a two months’ visit in New York City. Mrs. A. Lachman of Detroit, Michi gan, is spending the remainder of the season in the Springs. Mr. and Mrs. A. Schoyer and child of Denver were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. X. Leipheimer last Sunday.
