It will chronicle the most important foreign and domestic news, and will particularly concern itself with the doings of Jews in the Rocky Mountain region. Air. and Mrs. Fred Meyer of Chicago passed through Denver last week en route to California on their wedding trip. Airs. Meyer was formerly Aliss Alae Hirsh, a very prominent and at tractive society girl of the “Windy City.” Miss Sadie Colin of Victor will arrive Monday to be the "-nest of Miss Flora Anfenger. Mrs. Lesser Levy and son, accompa nied by Miss Hattie Davidson, left Wednesday for San Francisco. After a most successful week the ba zaar that has been in progress at Beth Medrosh Ilagodol synagogue, Twenty fourth and Curtis, was brought to a close Thursday evening. Governor Alva Adams opened the bazaar last Sunday evening with an address to a hall crowded to its utmost capacity. Rabbi William S. Friedman, Judge B. B. Lind sey, Mr. Wolfe Londoner, Mr. Alfred Muller, Mr. M. Siunmerfield and others also delivered addresses during the week. The Ladies’ Auxiliary of Temple Emanuel will give a social evening Sun day, February 12th, at Progress Club. This will no doubt be one of the social events of the season, and it will be <rf the same nature as the one held at Elks’ hall not long ago, and all those who at tended that affair will remember what a delightful evening was spent by young and old. There will be different card games for all those who care to play, and dancing for the young people. So remember, one and all, to come to Prog ress on the 12th, as a good time will be in store for you. The ladies will follow this event with a fancy dress ball on Purim. COLORADO SPRINGS. Mr. A. Pelta of Buena Vista has re turned home. Mr. I. Schlessinger has gone to Den ver on a short business trip. Mr. M. Finkelstein, who has been east on business, is back home again. Mr. S. Bachrach of La Junta is here visiting his mother, Mrs. L. Bachrach. Rabbi Margolis delivered a very fine lecture on last Sunday evening to the Reform Congregation Association, which was highly appreciated, llis text was taken from a portion of the four teenth chapter of Exodus. The study class of the art and litera ture department of the Woman’s Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Sol. F. Klein on Thursday. The Ladies’ Afternoon Whist Club met at the home of Mrs. M. Lorig on last Friday. A very pleasant time followed. Mrs. Louis Pelta was the winner of the prize, a lovely hand-painted plate. SCHESSINGER-EMRICH.
