ROLAND HAYES, at left, the in ternationally known tenor, made his first appearance in New York in two seasons last Sunday after noon at Town Hall there and the New York critics declared that he was in better voice than he ever was. They were profuse in their praise of him. One declared: “His voice seems to have gained flexibil ity and ability to assume the par ticular vocal hue necessary for the expressive atmosphere of any giv en song.” LOUIS AND BRADDOCK MEET AT LAST! ! ! This is the setting in the Roosevelt Room, Hotel LaSalle, when and where Louis and Braddock put their fists upon the sheet that calls them here for the great June bout. Many interested admirers of the pair were present as well as their management, witnessing the signing which is the last act required of each of the combatants.
