(Good Time Society) Jubilee Singers To Give A Program At Carey Temple Carey Temple, 5347 South Mich igan avenue, through its pastor, Rev. H. E. Stewart, will present to its members and friends the feder al music project’s notable singing group, the Jubilee Singers, on Thursday, February 25tli at 8:30 P. M. Following the recent successful program presented by the Colored Concert Band, under the leadership of Norman Black, Rev. C. R. Waters and his congregation at St. James A. M. E. Church, 03rd and I^fay ette, are looking forward to the ave ning of March 3rd, when at S:30 P. M., the Jubilee Singers will be heard. Although an important and popu Ira unit of the federal music pro ject, the Jubilee Singers are by no means to Chicago audiences. The leader, James A. Mundy, has had one of the most distinguished ca reers of any musician of his race. The group sang to vast audiences for two seasons at a Century of Progress and have been heard in numerous radio programs. There will be a small admission charge to both of the above programs. Among the free south side music appreciation concerts for schools next week are listed appearances of the Illinois Concert Band, under Max Bendix, at Forrestville school, I 1439 St. Lawrence avenue, on March 4th at 11 A. M., the Colored Orch estra, under Zilner Randolph, at I Carter school, 5740 South Michigan avenue, on March 3rd at 1 P. M., and the Colored Concert Trio, with William Tyler, at Raymond school, 3033 South Wabash avenue, o n March 3rd at 9:15 P.
