Don’t forget—• ^ ,C j P. O. Block Pleasantville > Ostrom Meetings Close Wonderful Religious Revival In Which Entire Town Participated. The wonderful Ostrom meetings which stirred Pleasantville as the borough has never been stirred before came to a close last evening (Tuesday) after two weeks of continuous religious activity. The interest began the opening night and did not wane in the least, but like a rolling Stone gathering moss constant ly increased until at the end the large Wesley Church with its seating capac ity of seven hundred or more was inad equate to hold the throng and overflow meetings were held in the Baptist Church. Men who have led a wrong life avowed their intention of following Christ in the future, those who had been enemies for years grasped each other by the band and became friends again, the town people became better acquaint ed and were drawn closer together as a community, the churches are together today as never before, and the good ef fect will be generally felt fpr years and years to come. Dr. Ostrom seemed to grow more elo quent as the meetings progressed and intense interest was manifested by his hearers at all times, and the fervor was remarkable. V The program as outlined in the last issue of The Pleasantville Press was carried out without a break. In addition, a convention of Church officials and Sunday School workers of Atlantic County and. vicinity was held on Monday of this week and a meeting for colored people was held in Red Men’s Hall late Monday evening. The farewell service was held last evening (Tuesday), and today Dr. Os trom and his assistants leave for Cali fornia. A notable feature of the meetings was the singing by the chorus choir, of more than a hundred voices, which was gotten together on short notice, and their remarkable singing has never been surpassed in Pleasantville. Indeed The Pleasantville Press congratulates every member of the choir upon the excellent music rendered, and to Miss Davison, the organizer, especial praise should be given for her efforts and the results attained.
