Edward Shea of Barre ,was operated on Tuesday for appendicitis at Heaton hos pital, having been taken to the hospital on Sunday night. His case was quite severe, but his condition is satisfactory. The Ladies' Aid society of the Congre gational church will hold a special meet ing with Mrs. F. B. Cate, East street, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Business of importance is to be settled and will all make an effort to attend. The F. B. Cate Real Estate Agency has sold for Elmer Tracy, his place consisting of a good set of buildings and twelve acres of land, located between Barre city and Montpelier, to Peter Johnson.
