Most of the damage'-in the house wag caused by water, as the tire was soon put out. Conductor William Gilbert of Rutland was slightly injured Thursday when rear-end collision occurred between C'f tleton and I'oultney of the Eagle Bridge train over the D. & H. railroad, and a freight train. Edward l)yer in Mendon, and was sentenced to not less than three and not more than five years at the house of correction, lie also has two years and five months to serve on a broken parole trom the house or correction.
