It is a vylinder, some nine or ten inches in length, with an outer at the end which has been likened to a ' fuse hole. Mr. Nuithgate was disposed to handle the alleged bomb with tongs as some of the bystanders averred that it might be a time device. Early this aft ernoon the tunc for the cxposion hadn't arrived. McAllister, 12 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McAllister of Eat llarre, died at 3:30 this morning after a severe illness of two or three weeks. Three months ago the lad had an at tack -of the hives, and this was followed by rheumatic, fever, which led to a heart difficulty, causing his death. The boy was born in Kat Barre and attended the seventh grade in the school there. He was a lad much loved by bis friends and school mates, a boy of un usual qualities for winning friends. Besides his parents he leaves three brothers, Harry, Howe and Kermit, and seven sisters. Mrs. Hugh McDonald of (Jraniteville, Ellen, Evelyn. Ethel, Edna, Lima and Ivis McAllister. All the chil dren except Mrs. McDonald of Granite ville and Harry McAllister, who lias a home of his own in East Barre, live with their parents. A prayer service will he held at thu house at 1:.'I0 Saturday afternoon, with funeral at the 1'ongTegationat church in East Barre. at. 2 o'clock. Rev. James Ham age officiating.
