Millar, who last fall re signed as manager of the Tenney Serv ice company of Barre and Montpelier, has recently decided to affiliate himself with the Young Brothers company of Barre as sales manager, after a period of several months' trial in this capacity. I he toting Brothers company, in which Mr. Millar, it is understood, has invest ed money, is one of the most progTes sive granite plant in tins city. In a recent issue of the Monumental News one of his' old college competitors in a flag rush, who made his acquaintance with Mr. Millar after watching him wrestle with the vexing problems of the Massachusetts Institute of Tech nologv of Boston, say in part of Mr, Millar: "As a mixer, as a diplomat and a genuine good fellow of the right sort he is all there. As a matter of educa tion there are few who stand higher, for at the age of 22, and thift was in 1S96, he graduated with honor from the Massachusetts Institute of Tech nology in Boston, a diploma which is said to be one of the hardest -earned educational documents in the world. His modesty prevents his ever mention ing any of these attainments even to his closer friends, but the writer of this article happened to know about it nearly a quarter of a century ago." Perhaps his Barre friends will be inter ested to learn that Mr.. Millar has just purchased a piece of property, or at least has made negotiations, for the C. I . Bugbee home on Washington street, and it is quite probable the papers will soon be passed giving Mr. Millar title of the property. Of this 14 room house Mr. Millar plans an up-to-date home, though he will first make extensive rlmnges and improvements before di viding it into a two-tenenrent house. This property has for some time been in the hands of the Barre Savings Bank and Trust company. WILLIAMSTOWN Neighbors of Hubert S.
