Cutler of East Barre, whose death occurred sud denly Tuesday, will be held in the Con gregational church at East Barre Fri day afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. James Ramage officiating. William and John Forbes of Spring field arrived tliia noon to spend a fev; days visiting former friends in Barre. During their former residence here it will be remembered that f hey ran the Hub restaurant. , William Forbes is now in the jitney business in Spring field and his brother has continued tLe restaurant work. William Alexander, who for many months' has been master mechanic at the quarries of the Boutwell, Milne S Varnum Co., completed his duties there Saturday. Mr. Alexander's plan are as yet incomplete. Meanwhile he is taking a vacation and plans to go camping for a week or so. At 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon a baseball game lwtween the Barre A. A. team and the Graniteville A. C. will be started on the seminary campus. These teams met once before this year in Graniteville, the hill team winning, 5 to 4. Owing to damage caused by the storm, the management of Carroll's orchestra was obliged to cancel the public dance ut Dewey park last night, Necessary repairs are in operation and the pavilion will be in shape for the usual Wednesday night dance next week. Complaint was made to day by some of the peace-loving people on Ayers street that someone during the night had relieved a' flower box on a front porch of some of its choicest plants. Parties bent on inch work are liable to meet with some unpleasantness if they persist in such petty nuisances, as the neighbors are to keep a strict vigilance. Rev. Frank O. Hokerk is in charge of a small number of the members of the Barre troop of boy scouts who are leaving this afternoon for Camel's Hump, where they will upend the njght in the Camel's Hump dub huts at the top. They are to go to North Duxbury bv auto, and will take the short south ern trail up the. .mountain, returning by the same way tne next morning, in stead of driving further down to Bol ton and taking the more gradual but appreciably longer trail up from that side.
