The school has now a splendid t-orps of teachers and 130 students. The Massachusetts people have been after Dr. Davison for several weeks and have made to him offers that were very hard to resist, especially because of the great opportunity for work; but the members of the board of Vermont Baptist state convention and of Ver mont academy, as well as many fiends from other denomna'tiona have urged hiin to remain in Vermont and he hag finally and definitely declined the Massachusetts sail and decided to re main in the good old Green Mountain state.
