Feb. 16.—Maryland's Southern champions are coming to Chapel Hill Friday night, and Caro lina will he host to one of the great est basketball teams in the South. The Tar Heels held the Old Liners to a 26-25 verdict in a previous meet ing at College Park. If they can shake the jinx they're fought against the last two games .and find the basket in the old style, there should be a whale of a game, one of the best of the 1932 season in North Carolina. These Carolina-Maryland games are traditionally close, for Carolina played the Southern champions to two-point margains on two different occasions last year. Once they held a tremen dous lead at half-time, as they led 20-11 in first-half play in the first Carolina-Maryland game this year. HENDBIBOH, UK. A freshman preliminary starts at 7 o'clock. A Duke win will glv® the title to the Blue Devils for the third year. Should State win, Duke will either fin ish in a tie or one game ahead of Carolina depending upon the outaoce of the game between State and the Tar Heels next Tuesday irlght at Chapel Hill. Duke Is leading the race with six wine and one lose. Carolina is second with five viotorles and two de feats and 9tate is third with three wins and two losses.
