J. T. WRENN IS BURIED ON SUNDAY Died On Friday In Oxford Hospital Following Illness of About, Three Weeks By MRS. B. A. SC OTT. Funeral services were held last Sun day afternoon for Mrs. J. T. Wfrenn who died in Rrantwood hospital fol lowing an illness of about three vvieks. The services were held in Rehobeth M. P. church, and were con ducted by Rev. C. L. Spencer, pastor, assisted by Rev. Mr. Fields and Rev. | E. G. Usury, both of Oxford. Mrs, Wrenn was known bv her many friends as a loyal friend and neighbor. She was always faithful to j the church and was a faithful mem | ber of the Rehobeth M. P. Missionary I Auxiliary. I The community and church indeed ! lost a good member when Mrs. Wrenn passed away. i She is survived by her husband. J. Henderson on Christmas morning. Rut the time is short and those who would have the joy of a hand in this work are urged to act at once. T. Wrenn and the following children: Frank. I.ucy Alma and Melvin Dor sey, also Mrs. Gilbert Capps. The fol lowing brothers and sisters survive, Messrs. Elbert and Earnest Newton, Miss Eula Mae Newton, Mrs. John Dean, ail of the Rehobeth community. Harvey Newton. Leo Newton of Rocky Mount. Mrs. A. 1,. Vandyke of Kit trell and Mrs. Willie Gilliam of Hes ter. Interment was in Rehobeth com munity. County Teachers’ Meet Postponed The Vance countywide teachers’ meeting that was to have been held tomorrow. Saturday, at the Hender son high school, has been postponed, it was announced today from the county superintendent’s office, until Saturday. January 7. This is the re gular monthly meeting of all the teachers in the white schools of the count^. NUMBER TWO. The mother works in mill but finds ' it impossible to feed and cloth her | husband and four children, ages 16 14, 9 and 6 all are boys. | NUMBER THREE. The father is a carpenter, but finds little work to do. the mother who is . confined in bed has been to the hos-! pital twice since last June is very bright and cheerful. The children both are in school, the boy is 12. and the girl 10. NUMBER FOUR. The mother and father of this fa i mily works when they are able to do j j so. the father says.
